We offer four different license types that can be purchased directly from our website: desktop license, web license, app & ePUB license and broadcast license, each with different limitations. On request, however, we also offer additional licenses, e.g. server license, embedding license, logo license etc. An overview of our different license types if shown here. With our desktop license you have the option to install the Typerotation font software in the fonts folder of your computer to use it in desktop publishing programs (DTP) to create static documents e.g. for print use, bitmaps or raster graphics in formats .jpg, .gif and .png. The license applies to a defined number of users, all of whom must belong to one company with one registered address. The Typerotation Font Software may NOT be integrated into the @ font-face technology of a website or embedded in an app or ePUB, integrated in the hardware or broadcasted in a film. With our web license, the Typerotation font software may be integrated in one website, measured by the number of page views per months, to render live text using the @font-face technology. The creation of static documents, bitmaps or raster graphics is not covered by the web license, even if they are to appear on the website. Therefor an additional desktop license is required. If the website for which the Typerotation font software license was purchased no longer exists, the Typerotation font software must NOT be embedded in another website. The Typerotation font software must neither be embedded in an app, software or game, an ePUB or hardware, nor installed on a desktop computer or server. With our app & ePUB license, the Typerotation font software may be integrated in a specified number of applications or e-publishing projects, for rendering text. It does not matter whether it is a mobile app or a desktop app, whether it was developed for Android or iOS or whether the ePUB project is an eBook, an eNewspaper or an eMagazin. Every subsequent project needs an additional app & ePUB license. If you develop an application for more than one platform, each version is a subsequent project under this license. The creation of static documents, bitmaps or raster graphics is not covered by the app & ePUB license, even if they are to appear on the application or ePUB. Therefor an additional desktop license is required. The Typerotation font software must neither be embedded in a website, an interactive app/software/game/online environment to render live text via the @font-face technology, especially not where the user can save, download or export the Typerotation font software, nor in hardware, nor installed on a server. The broadcasting license allows you to broadcast one film project, in which the Typerotation font software is to be used. The limitation is measured on the number of continents in which the film project is to be broadcast. The Typerotation font software can be used for the presentation of the film title, for opening title, subtitles or credits, whereby the type of film project can be a film, movie, motion picture, season of a series, documentary or advertising. Broadcasting means the screening on television, cable television, internet television, streaming services, cinema, public performances, public screenbased environments, tradeshows, expositions, etc. The broadcasting license also extends to teasers/trailers of the broadcasting project. The broadcasting license only covers broadcasting. For the creation of the title etc. you need an additional desktop license. We understand that it is not possible to decide on the screen whether a typeface fits a project or not. Therefore, we offer trial versions of all of our Typerotation font software that can be downloaded and installed on one desktop computer for testing purposes only. Our Typerotation trial font software is supplied with a limited character set, limited or non-existent OpenType features and diacritics/language support compared to the full version of the Typerotation font software. If you decide to use the Typerotation font software in any project after testing, you need to purchase a full license depending on the purpose and medium of your needs and replace the Typerotation trial font software (fontfamilyTRIAL-fontweight.otf) with a full Typerotation font software file (e.g. fontfamily-fontweight.otf).To download the trial fonts, you need to create an account. As soon as you are logged in, you can download the trial fonts at the end of the retail font detail pages. Please note that you are automatically bound to the trial license terms as soon as you download a Typerotation trial font software. Yes, we also offer other license models on request. This includes server, embedding, corporate and logo licenses, but also individual licenses, which we would be happy to work out with you for your exact requirements. EULA is the abbreviation of End User License Agreement and represents a legally binding contract between the user of the Typerotation font software and Typerotation. The EULA defines all rights and obligations when dealing with Typerotation font software. By downloading and/or using and/or installing our software, you automatically agree to the terms of our EULA. Your can read all terms here.

No, the Typerotation font software is the intellectual property of Typerotation and their respective designers. By purchasing a Typerotation font software license, you receive a limited right to use the Typerotation font software in the form as defined in the purchased license. You do not acquire an exclusive right of use nor an ownership of the Typerotation font software.

Although we assume that this goes without saying, our Typerotation font software must not be used any racist, discriminatory, infringe or illegal content. According to the EULA, this is explicitely excluded.

No, that is strictly prohibited. Any changes to the Typerotation font software in any way must be exclusively made by Typerotation and its respective designers only. If you need additional font formats, you have to purchase a different license. In case you need our Typerotation font software in a file format that we do not deliver through our website, please send an email with your requirements to hi@typerotation.com .

It is strictly prohibited to rename (e.g. changing the name (file name fontname-familie.dateiformat), signature, copyright, trademark protection, etc.) or to hire a third party to do so. Any changes to the Typerotation font software in any way must be exclusively made by Typerotation and its respective designers only.

By purchasing a desktop license the licensee has the option to install the Typerotation font software on the number of computers, specified as desktop users, in the purchased license. E.g. you purchased a limitation of 1 — 3 users, you can install the Typerotation font software on up to 3 computers.

Yes, each licensed user is allowed to back-up one copy of the Typerotation font software on one other medium for archival purposes. If you created an account on our website, you can download the Typerotation font software from your account at any time.

No, this is strictly prohibited according to our EULA. If you want to embed our Typerotation font software in your website, you must purchase a web license with which other font file formats for web use are supplied.

No, this is not possible. External employees, e.g. freelancers or other agencies working on the same project all need their own license.

Yes, in order to manufacture a product, e.g. a book the Typerotation font software may be passed on to one third person, e.g. a printer. In that case the licensee undertakes to inform the third person to accept the license terms too. He may install the Typerotation font software on his computer for the production time, but is obliged to uninstall and delete the font files after the production.

Our Typerotation font software is always licensed to certain individuals/companies/
organisations/entities. The licensee may not sell, lease, sublicense or transfer in any other way the Typerotation font software and/or the license or any obligations, rights or parts therefor to third parties or other persons. If your client wants to use the Typerotation font software within their company, an additional license for the client's company is required. Yes, you have the option to enter another licensee during the checkout process.

All licensed users of the Typerotation Font Software must belong to the same company/organisation/entity with one (1) registered address. If your organization is part of the same company but has multiple locations/addresses and you want the license to be used across these different locations/addresses, you are required to declare this to us before purchasing the Typerotation font software/license. All Typerotation font software licenses are unlimited in time and space as long as the licensee sticks to the conditions agreed in the EULA at the time of purchase and the purchased limitation is not exceeded.

When you purchase a Typerotation font software license, you will receive an email that contains a download link for the Typerotation font software, an invoice PDF and a separate license PDF detailing the purchased limitation and the name of the licensee. We recommend that you keep these documents safe so that they are always ready for you or your customer on request. It is even easier to create a customer account before purchasing, in which all your orders, invoices, Typerotation font software and licenses are stored and can be downloaded again at any time.

A Typerotation web font license is calculated once with no recurring costs. The Typerotation web license is valid for one domain and measured by the number of page views per month. If the number of page views per month is exceeded by more than 10% for more than three (3) months in a row, an upgrade is required.

Of course you can upgrade your licence. A license extension costs as much as the required license minus the costs already paid for the existing license. Just email us at hi@typerotation.com and let us know which licence extension is involved. Please do not forget to attach your proof of license and your invoice to this email.

We know that the number of pageviews per month is not static and can fluctuate more or less from month to month. If the number of page views per month exceeds the limitation from time to time, you don't have to do anything. This is covered by your license. However, if the number of page views increases constantly, you should upgrade your license. If the number of page views per month specified in the purchased license is exceeded by more than 10% for more than three (3) months in a row, your right of use exceeds and you have to upgrade your license to a limitation that completely covers your needs within seven (7) working days.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. If the website for which the Typerotation font software license was purchased no longer exists, the Typerotation font software must NOT be embedded in another website. Therefore a new web license is required.

We offer our font library exclusively on our website. Typerotation font software licenses cannot be purchased through third party resellers.

Depending on the type of license, we deliver our Typerotation font software in the formats .OTF, .WOFF and .WOFF2. Other font formats such as TTF or SVG are also available on request.

No, apart from font family packages, we do not offer font packages where selected styles were previously put together. Everyone can choose the fonts that they need for their specific requirements.

Our minimum character set requirements are always Latin Extended, but each familiy has different support. For example not every font family includes Cyrillic. You can find a detailed overview of the supported languages on the families font pages or in the download PDF specimen, which is stored there.

Each font family contains different OpenType features. A selection of the included OpenType features can be tested on the families font pages, but not every browser fully supports these functions. Therefore it sometimes happens, that nothing changes, when the OpenType features button is switched on and off. You can find a detailed overview of all included OpenType features on the families font pages or in the downloadable PDF specimen, which is stored there.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. Just send an email to hi@typerotation.com if you have any questions or technical problems. We do our best to find a quick fix. We promise and ensure that the Typerotation font software is engineered and delivered to be of the highest compatibility with external programs and software. If your desktop fonts are not working properly, it is often due to an incorrect installation. We ask that you review the following steps, which can often resolve the issue:
— Please Make sure that no Typerotation font software with the same name is installed on your computer. This also applies to older versions or trial fonts. If there are Typerotation font software with the same name installed, please uninstall and delete them from your computer. Then, install the new Typerotation font software. Close your graphics program and open it again. In some cases it may be necessary to restart the computer.
— If that doesn't solve the problem, please send us an email with the following information:
- the operationing system of your computer and the version number
- the application(s) in which the problem occurs and the version number
- the name(s) and version number of the Typerotation font software (e.g. fontname-fontweight.otf)
- a detailed description of the problem and all the steps you have already taken to solve the problem
- one or more meaningful screenshots that clearly show the described problem

Custom font design means an exclusively devoloped design for your special needs. It can range from designing and developing additional glyphs to one of our retail fonts, span modifications of an entire font family from our retail library, expanding additional language extensions to designing and developing a completely new and exclusive font family.

Yes, we can customize our Retail Fonts for your individual needs. A modification can affect single characters or an entire font family. Please send us an email to hi@typerotation.com with your requirements and note that you have to charge a fee for extensions depending on the scope of the modifications.

Of course we are able to extend our Typerotation Retail font software with all characters for different languages, e.g. Central European, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew or Arabic. Please send an email to hi@typerotation.com to discuss your requirements.

Yes, we can create exclusive word marks or logo designs for your business. Please contact us so that we can discuss your requirements.

Unfortunately, this is not possible because every purchase of font licenses is final with payment. You would have to buy an additional font license that meets your requirements. However, if you have purchased the wrong (to low) limitation, we can upgrade your font license and you only have to pay the difference for the higher limitation.

Registration / creation of an account is not necessary for the purchase of our Typerotation font software licenses. However, an account has several advantages: all transactions are stored/saved, all receipts are managed and the latest version of the Typerotation font software is available for download at any time.

Yes, it's possible. Both are processed in a single sales transaction. Please note, however, that the purchase of the font licenses cannot be changed or canceled afterwards.

Yes, that is possible, but you can only change the order of goods within 12 hours of purchase. Please send an email to hi@typerotation.com and add your order details. Since all font sales are final, you cannot change the font license/font order afterwards. Please read our EULA for more information.

Our company is registered in Germany and subject to VAT (value added tax). Therefore, we add German VAT to any orders from Germany. If you are from a country within the European Union (EU), you can enter your VAT number and the corresponding registered company address at the checkout, thus avoiding paying German VAT (Reverse Charge procedure). You then have to pay your local VAT in your country. If you order from a country within the European Union (EU) but can not show a valid VAT number, you are obliged to pay the German VAT. For any orders outside the EU and outside of Europe, you don't have to pay VAT.

Reverse charge is an option for companies with a within the European Union to avoid paying VAT(value added tax) in the seller's country. If you are from a country within the European Union (EU), you can enter your VAT number and the corresponding registered company address during the checkout process. Then no German VAT will be shown on the invoice. You have to pay your local VAT in your country (Reverse Charge procedure). If you order from a country within the European Union (EU) but can not show a valid VAT number, you are obliged to pay the German VAT. We know that can be difficult to understand. Please do not hesitate to send us an email if you have any questions about VAT and reverse charge.

All transactions made through our website are processed in euros (€).

Since we are based in Germany, all purchases are made in €, but we make exceptions if necessary. Please contact us before purchasing to discuss your needs. However, there may be additional costs for paying in a different currency.

You can pay with PayPal or credit card (stripe).

Yes, payment by bank transfer is possible, but must be done manually outside of our shop website. Therefore, this process will take a bit longer. Please email us at hi@typerotation.com

Sometimes it happens that the credit institution can block the process. In this case, you should contact your bank directly and clarify the reason. Alternatively, you have the option of making your payment via PayPal. In exceptional cases we offer the option of payment by bank transfer. Please contact us so that we can find a quick solution to complete your purchase.

After the purchase is completed, an invoice is automatically generated/issued and sent to the entered email address. In case the invoice needs to be corrected due to a wrong entry, please contact us by email and we will send you a corrected invoice.

All font sales are final. We don't offer any refunds for buyer's or purchaser's mistakes. Before you complete your order, please make sure you have the right fonts with the approprate license types in your cart. In particular circumstances, we can make exceptions. If you have any difficulties, problems or questions please contact us.

Yes, we do. As soon as you add a second font style to your shopping cart, you will receive a 5% discount on the product price. Adding a third font style to your cart will give you a 10% discount to the normal price and so on. The discount is limited to a total of 40%. If you purchase a complete font family package a discount of 45% is already included in the family package price.

You can enter your voucher code in your shopping cart before proceeding to checkout.
